09/23/2001 Entry: "9/23 Rest Day"

Today is a scheduled rest day so I didn't do anything. I will leave you with these words.

For those who claim they do not have time to workout, that is hogwash. I personally own 7 different (timesaver) exercise videos with entire workouts ranging from 8-15 minutes. You can do specific body parts or even entire body workouts! I know everyone can at least find 10 minutes for themselves. :) Ten minutes a day is better than none. I'll list my shorter videos below (you can do a search at Amazon for most of these).

  • Denis Austin Hit the Spot Abs - 3-10 min. workouts.

  • Denis Austin Hit the Spot Thighs - 3-10 min. workouts.

  • QuickFix Total Body Toning - 3-10 min. workouts.

  • QuickFix Legs and Arms - 3-10 min. workouts.

  • I Want Those Arms - 2-15 min. workouts.

  • 8 Minute Abs and Arms - 2-8 min. workouts.

  • 8 Minute Buns and Thighs - 2-8 min. workouts.

As you can see these are all under 15 minutes per day.

For those who claim they have bad bones or injuries etc. As long as the fractures are healed, you should be able to do most types of exercises. (I would definitely consult your physician first though if you have any questions.) I am living proof of being able to exercise daily after having broken almost every bone in my body.

So choose you, starting today! I'm so happy I did and wish I could convey how much better I feel, physically and mentally.

The "no time" one gets me the most! I get up at 5:30 am to workout in order to make time.

I used to say I didn't have time, when in fact I have LOADS of time. I was just too lazy, that and I get bored working out alone. But no more excuses, dangit! I'm worth it and more :)

Hope you had a great day! :)

Yes it is, sadly, an excuse too many of us use. You have to FIND the time, because you are most certainly worth it. I LOVE Denise Austin's Hit the Spot series. I have a Best of, with 1 10 minute workout each of Arms, Abs, Thighs, and Buns. It's wonderful and quick! =)

I wish I had Denise Austin's abs *sniff*

GREAT post, Leah! =) I always used to say I "didn't have the time" which was total b.s. since I had time to EAT, lol. But you're right... we need to MAKE the time. This is important... and we're worth it. That seems to be my phrase today, lol. =) Thank you for being such an inspiration!!!!!
