01/23/2002 Entry: "1/23/02 Morning"

I finally felt good enough to exercise this morning. I cannot believe how sore I was from my last workout. I could barely walk or move all day Sunday and Monday wasn't much better. I still felt too much tightness and soreness to exercise yesterday. So I have altered my workout again. I must have pushed myself way too hard to be that sore for so long. I had full intentions of exercising Monday, but there was no way. My bun muscles were in knots. So I am going a little easier with the repetitions and added some 3 minute cardio bursts to break up the weight lifting. I didn't even do my full workout today as I was beat, but I will work up to it. It should take almost an hour, I would think.

I have been drinking Slim Fast Soy Protein Chocolate shakes everyday for the past couple weeks for breakfast. They are delicious, low in calories, and packed full of vitamins. If I would drink 2 per day, I would get all the vitamins I need. I'd much rather drink that then take my vitamins in pill form, which I always seem to forget. Plus I mix my shake with water and blend it with ice so it's very cold and almost as good as a chocolate shake. I have one every morning for breakfast, and it keeps me satisfied until lunch. I'm still doing very well with my eating, though I am not seeing any movement on my scale.

I'm going to keep plugging away though and hope to increase my exercising to 5 days a week again. I know I'll feel more motivated once the weather gets better. These winter days are just too dreary, and I'm so tired all the time.

Keep on moving chickie..remember the scale is NOT our friend. Just move that body and your body will show you your changes :)

Gotta move it to lose it. The scale will move too.

I agree, Leah...you just have to keep plugging away and your body will change...and soon will come changes in the scale! You can do it, I know you can!!
