11/24/2001 Entry: "11/24 Morning"

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had my mom, her boyfriend, and my brother over for dinner. We went all out. Then I went to Shawn's mom's house for supper. We stayed fairly late and played board games etc. It was a lot of fun, and the food was delicious!

Then I woke up suddenly at 3:30 a.m. and puked, twice. I can't remember the last time I was so sick. Then I went back to bed and was up an hour later puking again. I was supposed to work Friday but called in sick. I was very ill all day yesterday with a fever. I slept the entire day away. This morning I feel a lot better and know the fever broke sometime last night as I was sweating like crazy, after freezing and huddling under 2 quilts.

I'm just so glad it was only the 24 hour flu. The main reason is I'm throwing Shawn a surprise birthday party tonight. He will be 30. I did not want to be sick for that! Shawn is really going to be suprised by this because most of his friends had 30th birthday parties and I kept warning him not to expect too much as I've never thrown a party. So he thinks we are going out to eat with just his family tonight. Little does he know that I had invited approximately 50 of his friends to meet us there LOL. And instead of letting everyone else arrive first, which would never work because Shawn would see the vehicles, I am having everyone else arrive an hour after us. That way each time Shawn spots someone he'll be surprised and he can wonder who else is coming. It's going to be a late night I'm sure.

Well, I'm still not feeling 100% so I'm going to take it easy today in preparation for the big night.

Hi Leah, hope you're feeling alll better now! How was the party??? It sounded like it's going to be a blast, so hopefully everything went the way you wanted it to. ;)
