[Previous entry: "9/11 Morning"] Home [Next entry: ""] 09/11/2001 Entry: "9/11 Palestinians" Palestinians Celebrate the Attack on the United States. I cannot imagine celebrating an attack on anyone, anywhere. How can they celebrate an attack on the deaths of innocent people? Even if we were at war, attacks would be neccessary but still not a cause to "celebrate". I am sickened to say the least.
Replies: 3 comments I totally agree Leah, Im sickened myself. This whole day has been a nightmare. has spoken @ 09/11/2001 09:01 PM CST There will always be people so full of hate that they take pleasure in other people's misfortune. I think it's important to remember that though much has been made of this it wasn't the reaction of the majority of Palestinians. As one report I said that most of the streets were surprisingly quiet "most Palestinians were indoors, probably on their hands and knees praying that they don't get blamed for this and end up paying for it". Most of them people not even related to politics...just civilians. And I am so sick of this 'the Palestinians have reason to hate America' junk. When the US had to bomb Japan, even our *leaders* were agonized about what they had to do. There was no happiness over the loss of innocent lives. I am just so happy to see Americans uniting (as well as other countries' citizens) and giving each other support. I just wish there was more I could do personally.
