02/24/2002 Entry: "2/24/02 Candles"

I made my first candles today. I am on my 4th test batch. The first one was a total flop, but I know what I did wrong. The 3rd attempt looks near perfect. Now I need to test burn them all. There is so much to learn and test out. Each fragrance will affect the candle different. It's a blast though!

I made some lotion and shower gel the other day. That turned out super. The shower gel has the most amazing lather I've ever felt in shower gel. The lotion is making my hands nice and soft as well. Again, there is still alot of experimenting to do as far as fragrances and colors.

I haven't been doing much else. I've been researching like crazy and working more than usual since Mom went on vacation for 3 weeks. I'll write more later. :)

Hi Leah I stopped in to see if you had posted what you are doing. Sounds like things are going good with your newest adventure. I can't wait to try some of it out. Maybe when you send me that stuff for my next birthday you can send me some. LOL I am sorry I had to say that. :) I sure do miss our talking as much as we use to. I am still just moving right along over here on my remodeling. I will call ya soon.

Leah it sounds like you are really enjoying this, it also sounds like fun...I'd love to do something like that. Can't wait until you start selling...I'll have to try your stuff out, I also need something for extremely dry skin, I fight that constantly...
