02/04/2002 Entry: "2/04/02 Morning"

I have the next few days off work so I am busy organizing my office area, backing up my pc, and other stuff I've been putting off.

I am searching for a DJ for our wedding and am waiting to hear back from my first choice. We do have a photographer lined up, so that is a relief. Shawn's uncle will be taking pictures. I hear he does a wonderful job. I'm looking forward to dress shopping. I'm going on March 2 with my maid of honor, but I'm hoping mom and I can get away to look around before then. I know what kind of dress I want, but finding it and liking the way it fits will be a different matter. I still haven't decided for sure on the bridesmaids dress color. I'm thinking of going with gold and then having red roses, but not sure. I know I want something different and something elegant. I'll get a better idea of what I want once I start shopping.

I am really buckling down with my eating and am following weight watchers again. This is by far the best plan for me because I can eat what I want as long as I stay in my point range. I have eliminated table salt from my diet as I've read how awful that can bloat you. I'm also giving up alcohol unless it's a special occasion or once in awhile. I really think the 3 or 4 drinks I have every Monday night while Shawn bowls are causing some of my weight problems. We shall see if I lose anything.

Well I am going to get some housework done.

I know I'm happiest with WW, because it's so much easier to adapt it to different situations. It's also much easier to cook for a family (with very scrawny children), when on WW as opposed to something pickier!

Leah, the gold and red sounds beautiful, I can't wait to see what you officially come up with. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be elegant! As for WW, you know how I feel about it now that I've been on it a month...I love it. And yes, drinks (especially more than occasionally) add up to a whole lot of points...I was shocked. We have only been out once since I started on WW when I have actually had a few drinks and woah, when I got home and checked, I was dumbfounded at how bad they were! LOL Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in both the weight loss and the wedding planning! :)
