03/28/2002 Entry: "3/28 Candles"

My candle business is coming along great. I am still testing but am almost ready to go live. I have one of my jars figured out, which leaves the other 2. I am testing some wonderful scents! I already have my merchant account all set up. This means I need to get my business phone line put in ASAP and buy a fax machine. My goal is to be completely ready to go by the end of this month. It's funny because that was my original goal, and I'm right on schedule.

I came down with a nasty cold this week and have been sick the past few days. This is my first cold in over a year. I had to put my candle testing on hold since I can't smell them anyway. Meanwhile, I am trying to get my bookwork done and organizing my office.

I haven't been doing anything but making candles. I believe I am done making graphics. I burned out a long time ago, and I can't see myself creating anything new ever again. I am using my creative energy for my candles.

Well, I need to go make some supper. I'll write more later this week.

I can't wait for your store to open! I think it's wonderful you've discovered a new passion! I too am sick to bit of making graphics. I only do for myself now. My new passion is exercise......if you can imagine!!!!???? I always joked saying I wished I'd get ONE healthy obsession!

In a way I'm sad you won't be doing any more graphics - you always did such lovely work and your dingbats are excellent. I'm glad you've found something else creative to do and if you bring the same creative flair to your candles I'm sure they'll be marvellous. Good luck with your new venture. :D
